History of LED Lighting, Engineering & Design
LED Lighting, Engineering and Design is a new focus born from Venture Engineering, a business founded in 1988 by well-known engineer and designer Mr. Patrick H. Ryan, Jr.
Since its inception, Venture Engineering has developed new applications for LED illumination systems and state of the art advancements in the technology. In addition, the company designed and manufactured changeable message signs, traffic intersection control systems using broadband radio frequency (RF) networks and remote power monitoring via RF receivers and transmitters.
The Company is and has been committed to products that are designed and manufactured in the United States.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ryan’s leadership and focus on R&D has pushed Venture Engineering to the forefront of the green energy movement with the advent of LED Lighting, Engineering & Design. He currently has been granted ten patents in the field of LEDs, related products and fire safety equipment with additional patents pending. Mr. Ryan is a Registered Professional Engineer and a member of the Illumination Engineering Society.
President of the Company is Robert J. Ratliff an executive with fifty years experience in corporate management with his latest major role as Founder and Chairman of the Board, and Chief Executive Officer of AGCO Corporation, an S&P 500 corporation on the NYSE. Prior to his 15 years at AGCO he was President of Uniroyal Tire Company, and prior to that he had a 25 year career at International Harvester Company where he achieved the position of Senior Vice President of the Truck Group.
Mr. Ratliff is currently Chairman of the Manufacturing Institute, a sub-group of the National Association of Manufacturers, he is a Director of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, a Director in the Piedmont Bank, and Chairman of CVT Corporation in Montreal, Canada.
